The purpose of LIBIS system is to automate main library processes: from acquisition and cataloguing to circulation (library customer services), including internet based services from user registration to receiving a document/e-service. LIBIS system is integrated with a RFID (Radio-frequency identification) self-service equipment, so users can lend and return documents themselves and return them outside the library‘s working hours dropping them into special drop-boxes. A specialized software is developed for reading electronic books on e-book readers.
