National or Governmental Cyber Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) serve as a trusted and central coordination points of contact for cyber security, aimed at identifying, defending, responding to and managing cyber threats. The service includes guidance through CSIRT documentation process, help with selecting the right services, building proper organizational structures, defining appropriate roles and responsibilities, selecting the right people, information technologies and equipment, defining network design, providing necessary training, defining operational procedures and establishing partnerships with other cyber security players.
